In order to improve the precision of gravity matching aided navigation, a gravity correlation coefficient is selected to
study the gravitational field intrinsic features using the method of normalized standard deviation firstly. Some statistics
laws are identified from the random gravitational field through the statistical analysis of gravity correlation coefficient.
So that series of gravity matching conclusions can be drawn. Secondly, a gravity intrinsic features threshold matching
algorithm of gravitational field is proposed based on these findings. Finally, the simulation results obtained using the
gravity matching algorithm in a gravity aided navigation system show that the threshold can be used to find the better
gravity matching areas, enable the integrated navigation system to diverge effectively and increase the accuracy of
gravity aided navigation system.
