Prof. Cheolkon Jung received his BS, MS, and PhD degrees in electronic engineering from Sungkyunkwan University, Korea, in 1995, 1997, and 2002, respectively. He was with the Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology (Samsung Electronics), Korea, as a research staff member from 2002 to 2007. He was a research professor at the School of Information and Communication Engineering, Sungkyunkwan University, Korea, from 2007 to 2009. From 2009 to 2010, he conducted international cooperation research on image super-resolution and 3DTV with Xidian University, China, as a visiting scholar. Since 2011, he has been with the School of Electronic Engineering at Xidian University, China, as a professor (PhD supervisor and full-time faculty) and the director of Xidian Media Lab. His main research interests include image and video processing, computer vision, pattern recognition, machine learning, computational photography, video coding, multimedia content analysis and management, and 3DTV.
