Profile Summary

Hennes Henniger received his Dipl.-Ing. degree from the University of Applied Sciences, Munich, in 2002, and his Master of Science degree in 2004. He joined the optical communications group of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in 2001. He was project manager of the mobile near ground optical demonstrator project and of the Kirari Optical Downlink to Oberpfaffenhofen (KIODO) LEO satellite downlink project 2009. His current research interests are channel modelling and multi layer error protection techniques to overcome fading. 2007 he founded the Codex consulting and development company. Henniger is also serving as a program committee member for the SPIE's conference on free-space laser communications at the Optics & Photonics symposium since 2008. Henniger is Member of IEEE.
