Profile Summary

Hongki Yoo received his PhD in mechanical engineering from KAIST in 2007. Before joining the KAIST in 2019, he worked in the field of biomedical optics in Wellman Center for Photomedicine at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital, and in Hanyang University. He is currently an associate professor of Mechanical Engineering at KAIST. His research focuses on developing novel optical methods including confocal microscopy, OCT, fluorescence molecular imaging, and endoscopic probes to solve challenging medical problems as well as industrial metrology.
