High voltage power cables are more and more widely used in cities, which also produces some secondary problems, such as grounding faults, safety problems and so on. This paper studies the grounding mode of high-voltage power cable, compares the characteristics and differences between different grounding modes, introduces the permanent grounding device studied in this topic, discusses the fault causes of high-voltage power cable grounding, and analyzes the practical application of fault location and detection technology.
