Profile Summary

I received the B.S. degree in engineering of surveying and mapping, and Ph.D. degree in photogrammetry and remote sensing from Wuhan University, China, in 2002 and 2007, respectively. I served as a research assistant at the Department of Mathematics, Hong Kong Baptist University, from 2006-2007.

In 2007, I joined the School of Resource and Environmental Sciences, Wuhan University, as a assistant professor. He was promoted to associate professor in 2008 and professor in 2011 both by special admission. I have been a Luojia Distinguished Professor of Wuhan University from 2013. My research interests include image quality improvement, remote sensing application and mapping, data fusion and assimilation, and environmental change. I was or is the PI of four NSFC (National Natural Science Foundation of China) projects, and a sub-project of a Major State Basic Research Development Program (973 Program ) of China. I am also the co-PI of a project funded by the National High Technology Research and Development Program (863 Program ). I have published more than 100 research papers, and hold seven patents. I have been supported by several talent programs, such as China National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars (2014), the New Century Excellent Talents by the Ministry of Education of China (2011), Hubei Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars (2011), etc.
