This paper proposed proper noise reduction methods for the two different noises (i.e. temporal noise and special
noise) based on the 3-D noise model of scientific-grade CCD. Noise reduction calculations have been made with these
methods. The results show that these methods are effective for the reduction of temporal noise and spatial noise. The
experimental data have verified the effectiveness of these methods for scientific-grade CCD.
