John M. Sabol received his Ph.D. in Medical Biophysics from the University of Toronto in 1996. He has worked for three major medical imaging companies as a scientist and researcher. While Chief Scientist at GE Healthcare he did research across many systems and modalities including the development and clinical validation of dual energy and tomosynthesis applications of digital radiography. He is currently doing similar research at Konica Minolta Healthcare with a focus on the development and expansion of dynamic digital radiography applications. He has over 100 peer reviewed publications and proffered presentations and over 60 US and international patents.
Personally, John enjoys mentoring youth in STEM activities; he has mentored many FIRST robotics teams and leads an annual Space Exploration Merit Badge Clinic for the Boy Scouts. When not mentoring others, or spending time with his three children, John pursues his true passion, fly-fishing.
