Dr. Michal Dudek
Assistant Professor at Wojskowa Akademia Techniczna im. Jaroslawa Dabrowskiego
SPIE Involvement:
Author | Student Chapter Advisor
Area of Expertise:
fiber optics , optical tomography , interferometry , image processing , optical fiber sensors , numerical modeling
Profile Summary

Michał Dudek obtained his M.Sc. and Eng. degrees in applied physics (photonics) at the Faculty of Physics, Warsaw University of Technology and then his Ph.D. in the field of mechanical engineering (photonics engineering) at the Faculty of Mechatronics, Warsaw University of Technology. Since 2016 he is working at the Institute of Applied Physics, Military University of Technology, currently as an assistant professor. In his previous studies he was focused mainly on tomographic (interferometric and holographic) analysis of optical fibers and their polymer microcomponents, and also numerical simulations of these microstructures. Currently his main fields of interest are optical fiber sensors (including rotational seismology sensors), laser micromachining of optical fibers and numerical modeling of metamaterials.
