Profile Summary

I, Dr Ramachandran K, completed my PhD in Physics, specializing in fiber optics. Presently, I am working as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Physics, University of Idaho ID USA. My long-term goal is to become an outstanding researcher and excellent academician in optical science. My research work was primarily focused on the concatenation of Mach-Zehnder interferometer and fiber loop mirror-based spectral manoeuvring for gain equalization of EDFA. My PhD thesis work includes direct current sensing using a miniaturized Micro Mach-Zehnder interferometer. These works appeared in IEEE sensors, Optics Communications, Optics and Laser Technology and Optical fiber technology. My three different post-PhD experiences have given me expertise in different research fields in applied optics such as Fiber optic sensors, Fiber optic communications, Optical meteorology, Interferometric imaging polarimetry, Snapshot dynamic ellipsometry, Photoacoustic Spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, Terahertz imaging, Laser Doppler vibrometry, Multiple beam laser Doppler vibrometer, heterodyne and homodyne interferometer, etc. Currently, I am looking for a permanent academic or research position.
