Profile Summary

My research has dealt with the theoretical investigation of the nonlinear optical (NLO) properties of charge transfer compounds with the Holstein Peierls Hubbard model. Vibronic coupling has been introduced in the models to check its effect on the NLO response.
Moreover I experimentally investigated the dynamic properties of perylene-based dendrimers (by femtosecond transient absorption and time correlated single photon counting) .
Currently I am working on two topics, both related to the plasmon-induced amplification of the optical properties of molecules:
- Surface Enhanced Raman Scattering of nanostructured metal surfaces for applications in biosensing
- Amplification of polymer NLO properties adsorbed on metal nanoparticles.
