Profile Summary

Graduated in Pharmacy with Gold Medal and University First Rank and completed M Tech (Pharm) from NIPER, Mohali. Currently, working as a PhD student on the project titled "Nanodiagnostics for orthopedic implant associated infection using quantum dots (nanocrystals)." Overall project objective is to develop the medical device for diagnosis of different kind of disorders/diseases.
Skilled in synthesis of quantum dot semiconductor nanocrystals, carried out their characterisation techniques (FTIR, AFM, XRD, HR-TEM, EDAX, UV and Fluorescence spectroscopy), bioconjugation techniques and further development of biosensor. Along with this, I have been trained in development of lateral flow immunoassay and portable fluorescence detection devices.
While doing research work, got an opportunity to learn the Scanning Electron Microscope and now I am an expert operator for Scanning Electron Microscope (FEG-SEM) since two and half years.
My primary career focus is to do research in an interdisciplinary field of nanotechnology, biotechnology and pharmacy providing pertinent solutions to healthcare. I always liked to work in interdisciplinary fields like medical device development technology, nanobiotechnology, bionanosensors, nanodiagnostics, preformulation and formulation development, drug delivery, fermentation technology, downstream processing.
