Prof. Xi Chen
Associate Professor at Xi'an Jiaotong Univ
SPIE Involvement:
Author
Area of Expertise:
medical imaging , image quality assessment , mammography
Profile Summary

Xi Chen, Ph.D. has a principal areas of research include dual-energy digital mammography, X-ray imaging for breast and image quality assessment. The first is the development of dual-energy digital mammography (DEDM) imaging technique, in particular the scatter correction, calibration phantom error correction and noise reduction for DEDM. The second is multi-scale reconstruction of mammography images, especially using dual-energy images to reconstruct regular mammography images. The third is the image quality assessment and evaluation of imaging technologies, specifically, the clinical effectiveness of DEDM.
