Study on the backscattered light intensity to airborne laser range-gated imaging

Based on the range-gated technology in the application of airborne laser detection imaging system, sequence relations of the parameters in the model of range gating in detail was analyzed. The effective scope of atmospheric backscatter and the moment before or after pulsing of the unit section was obtained. Horizontal range-gated imaging model was established and the calculation method of backscattered light intensity was given. Then slant distance detection of airborne laser active imaging was revised. By the object-image relation of points on the scattering section, the light path diagram of imaging detection system was built and the corresponding relation of light intensity between scattering points and receiving points was given. The variation regularity and distribution of light intensity on the detector under horizontal and slant detection were gained. Under the idea, the outfield testing platform was set up, and the relative error of data between measured and simulated results was controlled within 5%. The two kinds of data achieved a good coincident, which demonstrated the effectiveness of the built model. Influence of operating temperature on operating range of InSb detection system

Under the influence of operating temperature on detection range of InSb (PV) detection system, the paper gets the relation between operating temperature and D* by combination of carrier transport in detector and Johnson noise, and the detection range model of system in temperature variation is get by elevating the relation to system-level. On the basis of this model, the relation curves between detection range and temperature are simulated in a certain detecting condition, and the influence of operating temperature on detection range is analyzed. To validate the veracity of this model, the detection range experiment in different temperature condition is designed and built, and the conclusion which the model is truthfulness is drawn by data comparison and analysis of error. This conclusion is meaningful in improving system operating environment and method of application.

Distance measurement to high remote targets based on the airborne chaotic laser

According to the characteristics of chaotic laser, which has ability of novel anti-jamming, high bandwidth and detecting distance of the movement target to the millimeter precision, a modeling method of using airborne chaotic laser system to detect distance of high remote targets is proposed for the first time. The characteristics of chaotic laser and principle of interferometry distance were analyzed and the model of airborne chaotic laser ranging is established. Meanwhile, the influence of detection accuracy, which inducted by the main peak width of chaotic laser and the jamming signal is analyzed. According to the results of simulation analysis, we can get conclusions that the main factors of affecting the distance measurement are transmitted power, receiving sensitivity, and various losses of transmission medium. Autocorrelation characteristic of chaotic signal can also affect the dynamic range of the whole system. The main peak width of chaotic laser is the main factor of influencing the accuracy of measurement. However, the jamming signal affect distance measuring range and accuracy of measurement little. Finally, the model’s effectiveness is proved by comparing the experience data and simulation data.
