Polyolefin elastomer (POE) is a type of thermoplastic elastomer made by copolymerizing ethylene and α-olefin. It is highly processable like other thermoplastics, but also has rubber-like elasticity, making it an ideal material for future societal demands. This review highlights recent advances in catalytic systems used for producing POE, including evaluations of both domestic and foreign catalysts and their performance. Additionally, the review highlights the key advantages and applications of POE. Future research should focus on the synthesis of new POE catalysts to further enhance this material.
Cyclic Olefin Copolymers (COC) are a novel type of macromolecular material that is characterized by the copolymerization of cyclic olefin and olefin monomers. This paper provides a review of the production process, properties, and applications of cycloolefin copolymers. As research on COC deepens, researchers are also exploring its potential for functional modification and use in composite materials. By altering the structure of COC and incorporating various functional groups and impurities, it is possible to regulate its properties and expand its application fields. In essence, COC is a promising new type of polymer material with vast potential for applications. As synthetic methods and application fields continue to develop, the structure and performance of COC will become more refined and optimized, leading to further expansion of its use.
