Abstract
Delayed Decision Feedback Sequence Estimation (DDFSE) is a new signal processing algorithm for the detection of signals in the presence of noise. This paper describes the role of DDFSE in digital recording. The potential performance and complexity advantages of this algorithm are demonstrated by comparison to existing, alternative techniques.
