Abstract
Submillimeter wave (SMM) laser with a high peak power (> 80 W) and a high repetition rate (> 9 kHz) has been developed. The laser is pumped by a newly developed current-pulsed, mechanical shutter type Q-switched (EMQ-switched) CO2 laser. In this paper, we describe the experimental results obtained from the SMM laser pumped by the EMQ-switched CO2 laser.
