Abstract
Based on the V-hull theory, a 3500DWT oil tanker was used as the mother ship, which was transformed into a no-ballast water ship. Two key problems, the determination of the dip Angle and the transformation of the non-parallel middle body part, are solved in the transformation. The designed non-ballast water ship has the same displacement as the mother ship when it is full load, and does not need ballast water when it is empty, and its stability is better than that of the mother ship.
