Abstract
In the existing train control system, the on-board DMI displays the current speed, target speed, distance, and other basic information of the train, but there is still some safety information not displayed, such as the train’s route information and the speed limit of the switch. The dispatcher handles the route according to the fixed block section length, which will reduce the operation efficiency for the train with low speed. If the temporary speed limit command is not confirmed and checked on the on-board equipment, once the wrong temporary speed limit command is received, it will endanger the train safety. The tracking interval of existing trains is realized by ATP. If ATP fails, it will cause train rear-end collisions. In this paper, 5G technology and Beidou positioning technology are used to realize the visual extension of the train route, route handling in variable route section, wireless check of the temporary speed limit, and parallel monitoring of train tracking interval, so as to improve the safety and efficiency of train operation.
