Abstract
This paper focuses on the optical design and optical mounting of an off-axis two-return collimator with a focal length of 700 mm and an aperture of 400 mm. Firstly, the optical design of the off-axis collimator system was carried out, and the optical design was verified by ZEMAX to be reasonable. The large-aperture off-axis collimator is mainly used for laser communication terminal detection. Due to the improvement of the accuracy requirements of the detected optical terminal, the collimator is required to have large aperture, long focal length, high image quality, and the overall image quality stability after mounting is required to be high. The analysis and test results show that the surface accuracy of the main mirror of the large-aperture off-axis collimator reflection can guarantee a Root Mean Square (RMS) of 0.025λ for the wave image difference. And the secondary mirror adjustment mechanism is a free-moving device and can be adjusted in six degrees of freedom. The RMS of wave image difference of the system is 0.054 λ. The final set-up results meet the technical requirements and verify the rationality of the optical design.
