Abstract
Edge control technologies are increasingly used in smart grids. Also distributed generation microgrid systems need edge control technology for fine-grained management of the system. This paper introduces the main functions of edge-cloud collaboration, proposes the edge control architecture for distributed generation microgrid, then elaborates the architecture establishment scheme including data processing, network communication, and implementation of security mechanism, and finally demonstrates that the edge control technology can be successfully applied to distributed generation microgrid system through the application in a distributed generation network on a sea island.
