Abstract
Pulsed laser range-gated imaging is an effective method to achieve underwater high-resolution imaging. Traditional pulsed laser range-gated imaging system has the disadvantage of large size and cannot get an image with appropriate brightness for multiple targets (oversaturated problem) because of low pulse repetition frequency. In this paper, a portable pulsed laser range-gated imaging system with high pulse repetition frequency is made. Single-slice mode and multi-slice integration mode for the system make it flexible. In the single-slice mode, it’s hard to get rid of the oversaturated problem. To overcome the problem, three typical methods for multi-slice integration are introduced in this paper and experiment results show that combination of wide and narrow slices can get the best image for multiple targets.
