Abstract
The optimization design of shielding for on-board nuclear power supplies is a multi-parameter and multi-objective optimization problem, and the design of key parameters such as shielding layer material and size has an important impact on meeting the requirements of miniaturization, lightweight, and mobility of on-board nuclear power supplies. Using the elite strategy of the Non-Dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm II (NSGA-II), with the overall objective of optimizing the total mass and dose rate of the shielding layer, the radiation shielding design scheme under operation and transportation conditions is given. The analysis results show that the mass and radial dose of the radial optimization scheme obtained in this paper are 78.08% and 52.47% of the initial scheme, respectively, while the mass and dose values of the axial optimization scheme are 83.52% and 78.39% of the initial scheme, and meet the mass and dose limits. The NSGA-II algorithm is used to adaptively optimize the key parameters such as material and size of the shielding system for on-board nuclear power supplies, and a shielding optimization scheme with light weight and small volume is obtained. This can provide theoretical and technical support for the optimization design of radiation shielding for on-board nuclear power supplies.
