Abstract
In order to suppress the interference of narrowband signals such as WiMAX band, international satellite band, WLAN band, X band and International Telecommunication Union (ITU) band to ultra-wideband communication, this paper proposes a miniaturized ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna with five-trapped wave characteristics, which consists of a wrench-type radiating patch and an improved open-rectangle-slotted grounding plate with a FR4 dielectric substrate. The overall size is 29mm×20mm×1mm, and the antenna is realized by opening C-slots, C-slots and inverted U-slots on the antenna radiating surface, etching U-slits on the feedline and adding symmetric C-branches next to the feedline, respectively, for the five frequency bands of 3.14-3.71GHz, 4.14-4.84GHz, 5.04-5.99GHz, 7.23-7.84GHz, 8-9.14GHz, and 4.14-4.84GHz, respectively. 9.14GHz for five frequency bands with trapped wave characteristics. The experimental results show that the designed antenna operates in the frequency band of 2.82~13.17GHz, and the return loss in the working frequency range is less than -10dB except the above five trap bands, and it has good performance and omnidirectional radiation characteristics, which can be applied to a variety of wireless communication system fields.
