Abstract
This paper studies the deformation priniciple of rock and clay by means of the method of multilight beams and double explosure. The relationship between stress and strain, the deformation principle and elastic modulus of Chongqing sandstone and mudstone as well as Chengdu's clay were measured. The Poisson Ratio of clay, which couldn't be obtained by normal test, was also measured.
