Abstract
A dislocation model is proposed on the basis of the experimental data, observed for the first time, of photorefractive effect in the DKDP crystal below room temperature. It is shown that a similar effect can be expected in a rather wide class of crystalline materials with well pronounced piezoelectric and electro-optic properties.
