Abstract
In this paper, a finite element program for the runner of Francis turbine by three-dimensional isoparaetric element with twenty nodes and a corresponding automatic mesh generation program are completed on the basis of the structure and the deformation characteristic of the runner.The results are very similar to those of actual measurement.
