Abstract

The interaction of 10 µm radiation with Stark tunable gases can be used to perform a variety of control functions for CO₂ lasers. In addition to reviewing some earlier applications) this paper will present results of our recent work on optical limiters, bistable devices, tunable filters, and modulators using novel Stark configurations.
