Abstract
The experimental and theoretical study of electron spin-lattice relaxation of Yb3+ ions in phosphate glasses was performed. Measurements were made with electron spin echo method. Some dependencies of the relaxation on the temperature, concentration, and sample dimension are supposed to be caused by localized vibrational states.
