Abstract
This paper studies on the detection of SAR targets in clutter by making use of the polarimetric information. Two classes of detection algorithms, the weighting matrix algorithm and weighting vector algorithm, are discussed. Particularly, six multi-look fully polarimetric detectors, the multi-look polarimetric whitening filter, polarization match, maximum/minimum power, and odd-/even-scattering detectors, and two suboptimal detectors, the total power detector and the single-polarization-channel intensity detectors are constructed and theoretically analyzed. The experimental results are also given for demonstration.
