Abstract
In this paper, the concentration of nitrogen dioxide produced under the effect of the ionizing radiation from an optical-breakdown plasma center in air is calculated. The principal parameters of NO2 gas halo are obtained as functions of the laser pulse duration and intensity. It is noted that the halo with the increased concentration of nitrogen dioxide and oxygen ions around a plasma center has a significant effect on the time parameters of plasma radiation because it screens the plasma luminescent radiation in the visible spectral region.
