Abstract
In this paper we discuss some implementation aspects and preliminary results of real-time Rotation and Scale Invariant (RSI) template matching on streaming images using a reconfigurable and scalable platform based on PowerFFT and FPGA hardware. The PowerFFT is world's fasted complex floating point FFT-centric DSP processor. We manipulate 2D RSI template matching algorithms in such a way that it can be decomposed in mainly 1D FFT and 1D interpolation building blocks.
