Abstract
Images taken of a scene at different times are often acquired from different angles under possibly different lighting conditions. Some of the macroscopic illumination changes between a source image and a target image can be captured by an affine illumination model with two parameterts, viz. a factor by which the contrast is changed and the offset of brightness. We propose an algorithm that embeds a photometric recovery in an iterative geometric recovery process. The convergence of this iteration gives a combined recovery of the geometric and photometric distortion.
