Abstract
X-ray projection images are very important in medical diagnostics and industrial nondestructive testing. The digitization of this technology is bound to see rapid development. Images with non linear geometrical distortions, which are induced by optical lens and position, must be eliminated before testing and quantitative measurement. In this paper, we present a calibration method for geometrical distortions induced by optical lens, applying polynomial warping and bilinear interpolation, and discuss the selection pattern of reference point. The experimental result shows that this method is simple and practical, and it has been used in digital weld negative management system. Practical application in lottery printing quality inspection shows that this method is reliable and valid.
