Abstract
Polarization mode dispersion (PMD), at present, is one of the most meaningful effects, limiting bit rates in both TDMand WDM-systems, and non-regeneration distance. PMD influence becomes significant for signal quality at bit rates of more than 10 Gbit/s per channel. PMD compensators development is in progress now all over the world with using different models, methods and technologies. We offer PMD compensation model based on the combination Faraday rotation of optical radiation and LiNbO3-based differential group delay emulator. Such way presents applied interest because of simplicity of its body of mathematics.
