Abstract
Artificial neural networks (ANNs) are being developed for spectral interference correction in optical emission spectrometry using spectral simulations. The networks are being developed for inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES) and for optical emission measurements using microplasmas. In this paper, development of artificial neural networks for spectral interference correction will be described in some detail.
