Abstract
The decisive questions of designing the solid-state millimeter wave tran- ceiver are discussed, The tranceiver designe has become possible on the basisof R 4 0 studies of high-power pulsed -INPUT diodes working in EHF band, sys— tec of summing the 'cm outputs and development of methods allowing a consi- derable widening of the band of injection-locked oscillators, high stability oftheir performances over a wide temperature range and within the SHF-ignal pulse. The main par eters of the designed trance iver are following: frequency range34-36 iiz; output pulse power 50 W; pulse width 50-200n5ec; duty cycle 0.5 X ;8 switching frequencies at 800 MHz bandwidth with 50-100 nsec switching time:receiver sensitivity "Yam -30 to -100 dBm: weight Mikg; volume 2,000 cub cm.The tranceiver can operate over environmental temperature range from -50 to +50C. It include 5 microwave block and bias and control block. The microwave blockconsists of the Gunn-UCO. PIN upconverter, three-stage injection-locked pulsedIMPfiTT amplifier, 3 GHz pulsed and 3.08 Wiz CW-transistor oscillators with die- lectric resonators, hign- -re PIN switches, two balanced mixers and two IF am- 51 u Ap11 tiers. There are two modifications of the tranceiver architecture - for co- herent and noncoherent radars,
