Aiming at the voltage stability problem of power grid after large-scale integration of Distributed Generations (DGs), an optimal configuration method of reactive power compensation device is proposed. Firstly, the weak voltage nodes are selected by using the new energy short-circuit ratio index, and then a calculation index of average electrical distance is proposed. By calculating the average electrical distance between the alternative installation nodes and the weak nodes, the installation node of reactive power compensation device is determined. Finally, the maximum capacity of compensation device and the allowable amount of disconnection of DG is taken as the constraint condition, the configuration method of reactive power compensation device with optimal compensation effect is obtained by calculation. Taking an actual power grid in China as an example, it is found that the proposed method can effectively solve the problem of DG disconnection due to low voltage or high voltage ride through failure, and the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified.
Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) has been rapidly developed and widely used in power systems at home and abroad, but Bess has not deeply understood the impact of AC Short-Circuit Current in power system. And the existing short-circuit current calculation standards do not involve the short-circuit current analysis method considering the influence of Bess in case of AC system failure. Based on Bess electromagnetic transient model, this paper analyzes the influence mechanism of energy storage output current on AC short-circuit current under AC short-circuit fault. The research results provide a reference for reasonably evaluating the impact of energy storage on AC system short-circuit current and optimizing the setting of Bess control and protection parameters.
