Reverse engineering is an important product development mode in industrial design. Reverse development can shorten the product development cycle, reduce costs, improve product quality and meet people's higher needs. Threedimensional measurement technology is the first step and key technology of reverse engineering, so it has become an important factor affecting product reverse development. It takes the product design based on reverse engineering as the entry point, and expounds the difference between contact and non-contact measurement method, and the suitable product form. At the same time, it takes the non-contact measurement method as the research object, analyses and comparisons the measurement principles and characteristics between structural light measurement method and binocular stereo vision measurement method, discusses the application in product reverse design of the two methods, so as to so as to provide some help for product design based on reverse engineering.
