A. M. Marques da Silva holds a bachelor's degree in Physics and a Ph.D. in Nuclear Physics from the University of São Paulo (USP). She was a postdoctoral fellow at KU Leuven (Belgium) in the Medical Imaging Research Center. She is a researcher in Physics and Engineering Applied to Medicine, with an emphasis on medical image processing and analysis, image quantification, kinetic modeling in molecular imaging, and radiomic. She is currently a visiting professor at the Medicine School of the University of Sao Paulo (USP) and executive director of the Medical Imaging & Data Analytics (MEDIIMA) company, vice-chair of the International Council of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM), member of the Education and Training Committee of the International Organization of Medical Physics (IOMP), editor associate of the European Journal of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Physics (EJNMMI Physics) and director-treasurer of the Brasilian Society of Physics (SBF).
