Profile Summary

I have many years of experience in design and engineering of optical instruments for research and commercial use. I have designed and built optical tweezers, laser scanning confocal microscopes, confocal Raman microscopes, customized confocal microscopes for AFMs and Fiber Illumination systems. I have extensive experience in designing optical, opto-mechanical and opto-electrical instrumentation using LabVIEW, Zemax, SolidWorks, Spice and MatLab.

Currently I am working with Actoprobe LLC; a leader in design and manufacturing of optical instruments for AFM and confocal.

My interest are: Designing and building optical and mechanical systems and devices for research and fun, developing softwares for control and automation using Arduino microcontrollers, Raspberry pi, LabView and MatLab, posting and blogging my work on websites like Instractables.com and Openwetware.org and designing and building robotic insects.
