Dr. Yang is PostDoc research associate of Applied and Engineering Physics, Cornell University. Prior to Cornell, he earned his Ph.D. in BME, Peking University. His research interests focused on bioimaging, with super resolution microscopy, multiphoton microscopy for deep living cells and animals. He is working on technology development to improve the speed, the resolution and the depth penetration of these imaging techniques to expand the application range of microscopy to capture unknown biological process and unlock new physics in single nanoparticle (UCNPs, FNDs and Quantum dots) within nanoscale resolution. Xusan is currently working on multiple projects to further improve fluorescence imaging technology and applying these cutting-edge techniques to current biological and physical questions. Xusan have published about 20 papers on peer reviewed journals such as Nature, Natue Photonics, Light: Science & Applications, ACS photonics and so on. He was invited to give several plenary/invited talks on conference. He also holds several patents or pending patents. Xusan also served as OSA and SPIE member, reviewer of Optica,OE,BOE, AO, etc., Vice chair of OSA imaging optical design group and session chair of some OSA/SPIE conference, and topic editors for several journals.
